Rori Black

Rori Black, which may or may not be her real name, spends her days translating software engineer to 6th grade English; in other words, she has a sexy and exciting career as a technical writer. Previously, she was a network security engineer, but left to have a life outside of panicked 2am phone calls. She is starting to ponder returning to girl-geekdom as typing, “Push Start and scroll down to highlight the application,” no longer holds any charm.

She has a little political blog on a site that shall remain nameless. It’s usually full of snark and reductio ad absurdum rhetoric, but has helped goad apathetic 20-somethings into getting politically active and going out in the daytime… to vote.

Her interests include:

  • Information security
  • Feminism Humanism
  • Second amendment
  • Religion in culture and politics
  • Free speech, privacy, and civil rights

When she isn’t writing for end users or political animals, she can be found playing poker, watching hockey, reading depressing Russian literature, or taking American Tribal Style belly dance.
